Highlighting South Australian youth in the agricultural show movement


The Rural Ambassador award aims to highlight the importance of youth in rural South Australia and in particular the agricultural show movement. 
The award provides a great opportunity to give young people a forum to express their views through education and experience and develop closer links with the primary industries in South Australia.

:: 2011 Rural Ambassador to develop new ideas for shows (8/9/11)

South Australia's 2011 Rural Ambassador Campbell Lawrie aims to bring exciting new ideas to country shows and to raise awareness about the ambassador award. He also hopes to encourage more young people to get actively involved in the South Australian Agricultural Shows Next Generation group which is aimed at the 16-40 year old age group involved in or with an interest in agriculture and country shows.

:: Gawler high achiever wins Country Show Young Ambassador Award (19/7/11)

Enthusiastic and community minded Aaron Bain from Gawler has been announced the 2011 Younr Rural Ambassador state winner. The 18 year-old was among eight South Australian regional finalists vying for the title at a presentation dinner held in Adelaide on Friday 15th July.

:: 2010 Rural Ambassador to promote show youth

South Australia's 2010 Rural Ambassador - Amanda Kroehn - aims to get stronger support for local shows from the younger generation, community groups and businesses to promote shows and ensure they continue to grow successfully.
Amanda was named South Australian Rural Ambassador at the 2010 Royal Adelaide Show.

:: 2010 State Young Rural Ambassador Award winner announced

Passionate and hard working William Denholm from Kapunda has been named the 2010 Young Rural Ambassador state winner. The 19 year-old was among nine South Australian regional finalists vying for the title at the presentation dinner held at the Grand Chifley Adelaide on Friday 9th July, 2010.
