The RICH FRUIT CAKE and GENOA CAKE competition is a state-wide event organised by the Agricultural Societies Council of SA Inc and proudly sponsored by Sunbeam Foods and Angoves.

RICH FRUIT CAKE CHAMPIONSHIP
Rich Fruit Cake Champions Semi-Finals will be held at a nominated Show in each Association >> Click here to view rotation
The winner of each Association Semi-Final is eligbile to compete at the State Final staged during the Royal Adelaide Show. Where an Association winner cannot partake in the State Final, the runner up of the particular Association Semi-Final will be invited to participate in the State Final.

- Cake to remain un-iced
- Cake to remain undecorated (ie no almonds)

Prize Money
Semi-Finals:
- 1st prize - $60
- 2nd prize - $25
- 3rd prize - $10
State Championship:
- Champion - $250
- 2nd prize - $100
- 3rd prize - $50
All Semi-Finalists will receive a bottle of St Agnes Brandy, sponsored by ANGOVES.
GENOA CAKE COMPETITION
The Genoa Cake Competition Semi-Finals will be held at a nominated Show in each Association >> Click here to view rotation

Rules
- Exhibitors own recipe to be used.
- There is to be no restriction on the ingredients used.
- As a general guideline the Genoa Cake should contain sultanas, currants, cherries and almonds.
- Cake to remain un-iced.
- Cake may be decorated with almonds.
