:: 2011 Rural Ambassador to develop new ideas for shows

South Australia's 2011 Rural Ambassador Campbell Lawrie aims to bring exciting ideas to country shows and to raise awareness about the ambassador award. He also hopes to encourage more young people to get actively involved in the South Australian Agricultural Shows Next Generation group which is aimed at the 16-40 year old age group involved in or with an interest in agriculture and country shows.
Campbell, 30 years-old, was named South Australian Rural Ambassador at the Royal Adelaide Show on Tuesday 6th September. As one of the eight state finalists from throughout rural SA, Campbell represented the Eyre Peninsula Association and was nominted by his local Lipson show.

:: 2011 YRA Award Winner Announced
Congratulations to Aaron Bain (Northern) who was announced the winner of the 2011 Young Rural Ambassador at the YRA Presentation Dinner held on Friday evening (15 July).
Runner Up was awarded to Sarah Horne (Eyre Peninsula).

When cleaning out that old suitcase, box or chest of drawers please take the time to look for any Show related material - photographs, prize certificiates, prize lists, catalogues, ribbons, rosettes, medals or posters.
For items relating to your local area, contact the secretary of your local show society.
